Overview of features
The SUAOKI Led Camping Lantern is a very small and lightweight camping lantern. What is neat here is that it folds down like an accordion, so you should have no problems when it comes to transportation. It is very small and lightweight, so carrying it around is about as easy as it gets. Now, we do want to say that this is a very inexpensive camping lantern, which is good if you are on a budget, but with that said, we would not risk dropping it or getting it wet at all.
What we like about the SUAOKI Led Camping Lantern is that it comes with 3 lighting modes. There is a high, low, and SOS strobe mode for emergency situations. It also comes with overload protection to stop it from being overcharged and from short-circuiting. Of course, we do really like how it can be charged with the micro USB or solar power. Even better is that it comes with a USB output so you can charge a phone if needed. It might not be super fancy, but it gets the job done.
The SUAOKI Led Camping Lantern is a nice little camping lantern. Quite honestly, there is really not all that much to know about using it. You can use the one-touch controls to turn it on, off, and choose between the various available lighting modes. In order to use it, simply undo the clips so it comes apart, and turn it on. To put it away, simply compress it and reengage the clips. To charge the SUAOKI Led Camping Lantern, simply put it in bright sunlight or connect it to the USB charger. Beware that it does take a long time to charge this thing if you are just using sunlight.
Ok, so we are aware that this SUAOKI Led Camping Lantern is not exactly the most durable item around. It is also not the brightest lantern in existence. However, there are some alternatives you can take a look at. One good alternative might be the Tough Light LED Rechargeable Lantern. Yes, this lantern is about 4 times the price of the item we reviewed here today, which mind you is still not actually all that much, but with that said, it does last a lot longer in terms of battery life, it is way more durable and tough, and it is much brighter too. If you don’t mind spending a few extra bucks, we would definitely recommend taking a look at it.
As you can see, the SUAOKI Led Camping Lantern is a nice choice to go with for various reasons. Ok, so it might not be the most durable camping lantern around, but it certainly is quite bright. There is also the fact that it collapses like an accordion and is super lightweight, so it comes with a high level of portability. The fact that it can be charged using either solar power or the USB charger is great as well. It’s an inexpensive lantern that is more than good enough for a basic family camping trip
